After some water gun action, we played some volleyball! Hanna rocked....very good form and really strong. She didn't like getting thrown in the river though :-)

Little P's Shower

The family shower was a hit in more ways then one when the thunderstorms rolled through. Everyone liked the laid back theme and the kids all loved playing in the backyard and looking at the turtle in the fish tank in the basement. We got some great things and want to thank everyone for everything and for sharing the day with us.

Sterlingfest Weekend

Thursday, Friday and Saturday were the once again annual Sterlingfest weekend. Anthony is required to work all day every day, 13-14 hours! His coworkers are stuck their too.

Julie, his coworker Dan's wife, and their two kids and I hit the kids tent Thursday night to make some necklaces and then enjoyed the balloon launch. It is pretty amazing to see 300+ balloons float up into the sky in a different color montage. I didn't let myself think of the enviornmental impact though.... Next it was an 80's cover band playing and we tried to get Jonas to dance but he wanted nothing to do with it.

Friday, my mom came down and we hit the fest again for some ethnic food (Great hummas!) and some concert action. Anthony's mom and Sam came up too. We just got in our seats to watch a 70's cover band, The Spirit of 76, when the fiercest cloud blew in and they stopped the concert. We tried to gage if it would come back on and ended up talking the the Speghetti Man about it...locals will know who this is. After 15 minutes it blew over and the concert was back on. We stayed until the second band, a 90' s cover band, The X Generation, played a couple songs and decided to head out. Good think because the downpour started as soon as we got home. Then had to cut short the second band and Anthony said it was a hell of a time getting everything packed up in the Rain/darkness.
