Super cute PJ's and the Morning Wake Up

I found these pajama's at Salvation Army and I LOVE them! They are so cute and light and if I could I would buy more!! I also love the father son wake up pics, I think Julien is trying to wake up Daddy.....a difficult task.

In Memorial

At our church this Sunday they had a moment to remember all of our loved ones that have died in the last year. Anthony and I both had to call out our Grandma's names. This made us reflect on how much life can change in one year. We have both lost a Grandma and gained a wonderful son! I want to reflect our memory of them here:
Irene Walenga
Edna Polidan

For the rest of the Memorial weekend we went to the Memorial Parade on Monday morning and then to Anthony's boss' house for a great BBQ. Julien got to swim in the pool (I LOVE saltwater pools) and play with a bunch of other kids. Fun was had by all and I forgot my camera....go figure.

Sleeping in the Sun

Gotta love these days of sun and warmth. It is a must to go outside in just a shirt and diapers and lay out on a big blanket and yes, pass out under an unbrella. Now this is bliss.........

Chicago Weekend

It was the first vacation as a family and we were excited! We left Friday morning, the garbage did not come on time so we had to wait around to pull the cans back from the road.  We started off later then we wanted to, but that is the rule of entropy, nothing goes perfectly. We stopped in Marshall to see Kate and the X-boys. Unfortunately, Xach slept most of the time but Xander was his usual awesome self, he loved the trucks! We walked down to the Dark Horse restaurant for lunch for some outdoor atmosphere. Luckily we got back in time, after an ice cream stop.....Anthony can't walk past ice cream stores, to get to Kate's house just before it started raining. We left at 5ish so we would get to Chicago after rush hour. We got set back again due to the closure of 94, gotta love Michigan construction. Julien slept most of the way to Chicago so it went well. We got in at about 9pm and I put him and me to bed so we would be fresh for the Green Festival. We drove to Navy Pier on Saturday for the Green Festival and were a bit bummed that it was indoors when it was 65 and sunny outside but there were a ton of fun booths and good vege food and speakers to keep us entertained. I got to see Amy Goodman(Check out Democracy Now) which was one of the main reasons for going. Julien started to crash out after that so we were only able to stay 3 hours. Oh well, life with a baby. We relaxed the rest of the weekend at Molly and Jim's and ate some great meals! We loved seeing Clare and William, can't wait to see you more at the cottage!

Xander and Anthony walked back from the Dark Horse together, they got sick of the girl talk.

There is the tip of Xach's head!
Crashed out, it is so tiring being walked everywhere!
Julien looks extra chubbs here.
Talking cockatoo at the Green Festival, Julien loved it and got to pet bunnies too!
Clare and Anthony.
Clare and Jim in the Smart Car, Will, don't be too jealous!

Project 3

PROJECT 3: I took Amanda Soule's advice in her book The Creative Family and I decided to turn one of my shirts into a pair of pants for Julien. As I progressed I realized I would like it better as a jumper! He is wearing it today so I will have to get pictures of him actually in it and post those too.

He thinks he is a cowboy!

Nunna and Grandpa Sam came over for Mother's Day and gave me the most beautiful locket with two pictures of Julien in it, Thank You! Well, Julien decided he was going to ride Nunna's leg like he was on a horse. I got it on video but I forgot that I can't turn these video's, argh. So you will have to watch it with a turned head or turned computer, you pick.

Mother's day, I love being part of this big day!

Mother's Day. Besides the fact that it is a Hallmark holiday, I have to admit I love being a part of it. Anthony came up to give me a break from hanging my closet doors (lots of cursing involved...old house....nothing fits quite right) and when he walked in the room he had Julien carrying a big card that said Mommy on it! I immediately got a big grin which then made Juju give a bigger grin back! It was great. I love my gift, a massage....thank God, my back needs it, and a wonderful pottery set of 4 tea cups. Wonderful!! I thought I would show off our garden flowers to honor this wonderful day.

We went to Lansing last weekend to celebrate Paul's official teaching graduation from Michigan State University. Congratulations, welcome to the world of no jobs. :-( The bright side, more time to travel!

Like a Boss

We had to go to PwC for a quick work fax and it turns out the whole team was there for a meeting. Being the "boss" that he is, Julien immediately called a meeting in the main conference room to set the staff straight on upcoming issues.....when is lunch was the main topic.

*For those who have not seen the SNL guys "Like a Boss" song, I suggest you Youtube it.
