1st Tigers Game

The Yoder family made the trek to our side of the state and we took the kids to their first tiger's game! Julien lasted 3 innings before we had to go home since they moved the game from a 1 pm start to an 8pm start. Seriously, a kids game at 8pm, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!
I guess ESPN pays a lot to move those games around. Oh well, we had fun while we were there.

Blackberry Pancakes

Our venerable fruit and vegetable garden has not disappointed again this year. We had a wonderful crop of strawberries and blueberries at the beginning of the summer and now the blackberry bush and grape vines are going gangbusters. Let me tell you, sweet pea snacks have been the best! Here are some pictures of the blackberry pancakes we made, these pancakes have to be massive to fit these large blackberries in them! Later today we are going to make a stir fry with some sweet peas, green pepper and tomato from the garden! I LOVE GARDENS!!!

Seattle- Chelsea Wedding

We spent the last week in Seattle and Bellingham for cousin Chelsea's wedding. It was amazing! We spent the first day hitting the Pike's Place Market and the Space Needle. We then spent the rest of the trip in Bellingham and went on a fabulous sail boat cruise, ate more crab then we have ever seen, took a ferry ride to Lummi Island and saw a Minke Whale and looked for agates, attended a beautiful wedding and took hikes in the wonderful green woods. Here are a couple video's we took.

Waving at the Monkeys

For the 4th of July we thought there was nothing more
patriotic then heading to the zoo. Off we went to see the
monkeys and tigers and bears, oh my! It was a great time
and we got a video of Julien waving at the monkeys, he waves
"hi" now but we are still working on "bye".
