Project 2

Julien's Child Dedication (another term for Christening) is coming up and I needed invites. My first impulse was to go to the web and order them but then I thought, I can make them myself! Here is the final product:

I also followed Amanda Soule's advise and made a inspiration board. Mine also doubles for a things we are doing the following week board.

2 Teeth

So last wednesday, I was letting Julien teeth on my finger and ouch, it hurt more then usual. Wow, a tooth! I have since been trying to get him to hold still for a picture of it when bam, in popped another tooth yesterday! I figured I better blog about this before he gets 3. I am still working on a picture.

Comparison time, daddy to his son 33 years later

We did a spur of the moment photo shoot to compare Anthony to Julien. Anthony is 3 months in his pics, that is why the outfit looks a little snug on mister 5 month old Julien. Overall, this was really fun and interesting. I think we have established that Julien looks like me from the nose up and Anthony from the nose down, I think that means he will get my brains too ;-)

This is Anthony's outfit that he wore when he was 3 months old. We have great pics of Julien trying to replicate his dad's poses. I will post them soon. Here he is after the picturefest trying to remove his clothing....Like father like son. 

Knit bib

My inner creativeness is being tapped and I have just completed project #1! I knitted this bib for Julien last week. He was kind enough to model it. I recommend everyone visiting Amanda Soule's blog at the left under the blogs I follow...she is truly inspiring. I plan to make this a creative blog as well. Keep watching for more!

Easter Weekend, Three Easter Baskets!!!

The weekend started off with a mail delivery from Grandpa and Judy in Texas, the easter bunny ships USPS. After getting his cute alien easter basket with bunny and chick, Nunna came over. He then got a basket filled to the brim with outfits, a red and blue hat, teething rings, cute toy bunnies that move when you pull there strings and more! We rounded out the weekend with a trip to BR for some Grandma and Grandpa H time. Unfortunately, Julien got my cold and Friday night was pretty rough with his inability to sleep due to his stuffy nose. We picked up some vapor rub for him on Saturday and steemed him in the shower and that seemed to do the trick. He was all smiles on Easter and had to find his giant Easter basket. It had some great outfits and a garden wheel! Easter dinner was a hit with a bunch of "Mmmmmmmm" noises as he looked at all that food.

Tonight is a big night, I have put Julien down in his crib for the first time at night. He has slept many naps in there but currently he sleeps every night in mom and dad's bed. I am attempting my first take at seeing if he can make it on his own. I will keep you posted. Here are more random pics:
