He is a growler and a squealer!

Julien is starting to test his vocal range. Growling is
his new fun, especially when he senses how funny we
think it is....

I discovered that he is ticklish on his neck...of course
I now have to tickle him there as much as possible. You
also get a taste of his squealing noise....it is a riot.

Unfortunately we have picked up the bug that has been
going around and I woke up all achy and feeling like a have a really bad
cold. Luckily Julien is got my super immunity and seemed a little
tired but other then that pretty ok. He did take a 3 hour nap with mom
today. Thank God because I needed it!

Nobody told me real food was so good!

Julien has ventured into the world of real food. He started with rice cereal 2 weeks ago....this was after the continuous glances he kept giving our food and every time we took a bite his mouth would open too. I tried rice cereal to see if he would even swallow it and not only did he swallow it he ate it all and kept yelling for more! We moved on to apples and pears and this week we started sweet potatoes. He LOVES it. I tried to give him rice cereal again today but I received a sour face followed by spitting it out and his tongue sticking out. Apparently after getting to the "good" food, rice cereal does not cut it anymore. Kate gave us a good idea and we are going to try and mix some apples with the rice cereal tonight. The video is of him eating sweet potatoes, unfortunately I don't know how to flip it the right way...

Video's

Anthony finally sent me some video's off his phone. One is from the birth and one is from a couple weeks ago, amazing how fast he has changed!

This one is upside down....I am slowly dropping him toward me and he finds this hilarious!

Do you think he is teething?

         I love my teething ring!
                 Ummmmm, banana.

We have begun the teething stage. The above object he is mowing on is a net you can put cold fruit in for him to munch on. We started with strawberries but quickly discovered the mess they make and the clothes they stain. We have progressed to bananas and he LOVES them. He actually gets some banana to come out through the holes and eats it. That brings me to the fact that this boy is going to be starting on real food before six months. The doctor wants us to wait because it decreases the chances of allergies but he is already eyeing the food we eat and is hungrier then by breast milk can keep up with. I think I am going to start him on rice cereal at 5 months.......I am working on getting my camera fixed that takes video so I can post a clip of him rolling over. He is working on rolling from back to front as well but we are not there yet.

Julien will be 4 months on Thursday!

Sitting in his chair wondering how he can help cook
First time in the pack and play...he is thinking he is not big enough yet
Playing with his lion
Can we say teething???
Learning how to fold laundry...

How time has flown, I feel like I was just in labor not to long ago! Julien is becoming an interactive human and it is amazing to watch. He is rolling over from his belly to his back, every time he looks a little less surprised that he did it but still wants all the praise for being able to do it. He sits in his chair in the kitchen and watches me cook breakfast, lunch or dinner and naws on his toy that holds a strawberry in it. Usually he ends up with strawberry juice all over him. This is starting to ruin his outfits so I put a large bib on him but he still manages to get the juice all over him. This week we are going to try grapes to see if we can keep the stained clothes to a minimum. He is starting to laugh out loud a lot more and talk up a storm in his baby language. It is mostly a lot of grunting, mixed with what I will assume is some form of "Mom, I have a story to tell you...". He had his first baby sitter on Saturday. Mom was a wreck when we left but it was only for 3 1/2 hours and we were home by 9:30 pm. Thank goodness because he would not go to sleep for poor Carole. Every time she laid him down he was having none of it! Mom had to come save the day. It is nice to feel so needed. We met up with Kate and Xander at Birch Run on Thursday, luckily it was a nice sunny day and good day to walk around. Kate looks great and Xander is as cute as ever! Pretty soon Kate will have two little Yoder's to bring for visits!
